Belvedere Safaris was established in 1980 by Willem de Klerk who has achieved a long-life membership with PHASA for his contributions to the hunting industry.

After a successful tenor his son BJ de Klerk continued on the family farm in 2002. BJ is 4^th generation on Belvedere and early age he has been hunting, guiding client and gaining valuable experience from his dad. After 20 years BJ has built on what was started, though the knowledge and passion that was instilled from a young age. BJ has over the past years introduced a wide variety of planes game species. While protecting the more vulnerable indigene’s species on the farm.  

Melanie, who will be your hostess during your stay married BJ in 2006. With the help of her dedicated staff, they ensure your comfort during your stay. Hearty home cooked meals after a day of excitement in the veld. The family grew shortly after with 3 sons, Jaco, Kevin and Juan. The whole family not only has a great passion for hunting but also for conservation. We strive to share this passion with all our clients so they may carry with them memories of a truly Eastern Cape family safari farm.

Our connection with the communities on the farm and in the area run strong, parts of the animals harvested by the clients are shared to support worthy causes to help those in need.

BJ, trackers and staff aim to create a true African hunting experience, fair hunt on wide open areas creates a challenge with the hopes of a well-earned trophy. Belvedere Safaris has created many memories of adventure and authentic hunting. Where life long bonds are forged over a cold beer an open fire and conversation under the African sky.
